About Me

I’m an experienced Counsellor & Psychotherapist working with people with issues such as depression, OCD, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, bereavement, loss, and many, many more.

I’ve worked as a counsellor for the national mental health charity Mind as well as for a community counselling service in north Birmingham.  I now work with adults of all ages and backgrounds, providing one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy at my private practice in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

I’m a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a first-class BSc (hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy degree, studied at The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham. The degree course was accredited by BACP and validated by Coventry University.  I’ve also trained at Warwick University and undertake regular continuous professional development workshops and keep up to date with the latest research and developments in the counselling and psychotherapy sector.

I also work as a Supervisor, having completed the training for a Diploma in Clinical Supervision, studied at The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute.

I’m a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such work within the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and have regular supervision.  I’m also listed on the BACP Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists.

I’m a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist and Supervisor, and have a particular interest in shame, trauma, and mental health.  I am also interested in the role of diet and exercise on mental health and wellbeing.
