Supervision is a professional and ethical requirement for all Counsellors and Psychotherapists. The BACP minimum requirement is 1.5 hours of supervision per month, and for those Counsellors/ Psychotherapists in training there may be additional supervision required as per course and professional association ratio’s.
I offer supervision for Counsellors, Psychotherapists, therapy trainees, and many other professionals who work with people who might benefit from a supervision relationship, either on a 1-2-1 basis or group supervision.
I’m able to supervise work undertaken with adults (aged 18+) that is predominately face-to-face.
As with my therapeutic work, my supervision work places firm emphasis on the relationship. I endeavour to provide a safe, supportive space in which we can work together reflecting on, exploring, and developing your own therapeutic work.
I’m a qualified and experienced Counsellor & Psychotherapist (see About Me for more details) and have completed the training for the Diploma in Clinical Supervision with The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute. I’m a member of BACP and work within the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I’m also listed on the BACP Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists. I’m fully insured, and receive regular supervision.
I have experience of working within both agency settings and private practice and understand the joys and challenges associated with each. Additionally, because I work in private practice myself, I have a wealth of business skills and experience I can offer to support practitioners who currently work in or are thinking of setting up their own private practice.
If you think you might be interested in working with me for supervision, or would just like some more information, please do contact me for a no obligation chat.
